বিএনপি চেয়ারপারসন বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার চিকিৎসা সংক্রান্ত ফাইল তৈরি করেছে কারা কর্তৃপক্ষ। এটা প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ে পাঠিয়েছে বলে আমরা শুনেছি। ফাইলটি এখনও প্রধানমন্ত্রী কার্যালয়েই পড়ে আছে। আজ শনিবার নয়াপল্টনে বিএনপি’র কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয়ে আয়োজিত সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এসব অভিযোগ করেন দলটির মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর। সরকারের মূল লক্ষ্য খালেদা জিয়াকে অসুস্থ রেখে তাকে নির্বাচন থেকে বাইরে রাখা। তার চিকিৎসা না করার পেছনে একটি নীলনকশা রয়েছে বলেও অভিযোগ করেন তিনি।
সংবাদ সম্মেলনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন খালেদা জিয়ার ব্যক্তিগত চিকিৎসক ডা. ওয়াহিদুর রহমান। তিনি বলেন, খালেদা জিয়ার হাড় ক্ষয় হয়ে নার্ভগুলো চাপা পড়ে গেছে। এতে বাম হাতের শক্তি কমে যাচ্ছে। তিনি বাম হাতে কিছুই ধরে রাখতে পারছেন না। সেখানে প্রচণ্ড ব্যথা। কোমরের হাড়ও ক্ষয়ে যাচ্ছে। স্পাইনাল কর্ডেও সমস্যা আছে। এ অবস্থায় শরীরের অবস্থা আরো খারাপ হয়ে প্যারালাইজড হয়ে যেতে পারেন তিনি।
এ সংবাদ সম্মেলনে আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য নজরুল ইসলাম খান, আমির খসরু মাহমুদ চৌধুরী, মির্জা আব্বাস, সিনিয়র যুগ্ম মহা সচিব রুহুল কবির রিজভী, ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান আব্দুল্লাহ আল মিন্টু, সামসুজ্জামান দুদু, চেয়ারপারসনের উপদেষ্টা জয়নুল আবেদিন ফারুক, আদ্দুস সালাম প্রমুখ।
চক্ষু বিশেষজ্ঞ প্রফেসর ডা. কুদ্দুস জানান, ২০১৫ ও গতবছর তার (খালেদা) চোখে অপারেশন করা হয়। তার চোখের পানি শুকিয়ে যাওয়ারও সমস্যা আছে। আমরা শুনেছি খালেদা জিয়ার চোখ লাল হয়ে গেছে এবং প্রচণ্ড ব্যথা হচ্ছে। যদি তার সুচিকিৎসা করানো না হয় চোখের কর্নিয়া নষ্ট হয়ে যেতে পারে। তিনি (খালেদা) অন্ধ হয়ে যেতে পারেন।
খালেদা জিয়ার স্বাস্থ্যের অবস্থা ক্রমেই অবনতি হচ্ছে উল্লেখ করে ফখরুল আরো বলেন, ইতিমধ্যে দলের উচ্চ পর্যায়ের একটি প্রতিনিধি দল ২২ এপ্রিল স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে দেখা করে খালেদার জিয়ার পছন্দের হাসপাতাল ও প্রয়োজনীয় চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থা নিতে তাকে অনুরোধ করেছেন। স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী আইজি প্রিজনকে তলব করেন। খালেদা জিয়ার চিকিৎসার ব্যবস্থা করার নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয় তাকে। পরে কারা কর্তৃপক্ষ চিকিৎসদের সঙ্গে আলোচনায় বসেন। তারা খালেদা জিয়ার চিকিৎসা সংক্রান্ত একটি ফাইল তৈরি করে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ে পাঠান। কিন্তু ফাইলটি এখনও প্রধানমন্ত্রী কার্যালয়েই পড়ে আছে।
