গুলশান থানার মানি লন্ডারিং মামলায় আলোচিত ব্যবসায়ী জি কে শামীমের সাত দেহরক্ষীর চার দিনের রিমান্ড মঞ্জুর করেছেন আদালত। সাত দেহরক্ষী হলেন দেলোয়ার হোসেন, মুরাদ হোসেন, জাহিদুল ইসলাম, সহিদুল ইসলাম, কামাল হোসেন, সামসাদ হোসেন ও আমিনুল ইসলাম।
আজ মঙ্গলবার তাদের ঢাকা মহানগর হাকিম আদালতে হাজির করা হয়। এ সময় মামলার সুষ্ঠু তদন্তের জন্য দশ দিনের রিমান্ড আবেদন করেন মামলার তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা সিআইডির সিনিয়ার সহকারী পুলিশ সুপার আবু সাঈদ।
অপরদিকে তাদের আইনজীবী রিমান্ড বাতিল চেয়ে জামিনের আবেদন করেন। উভয় পক্ষের শুনানি শেষে ঢাকা মহানগর হাকিম সাদবীর ইয়াসির আহসান চৌধুরী তাদের জামিন আবেদন নামঞ্জুর করে চার দিনের রিমান্ড মঞ্জুর করেন।
গুলশান থানার আদালতের সাধারণ নিবন্ধন কর্মকর্তা পুলিশের উপ-পরিদর্শক রবিকুল হাসান বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন।

ঢাকা মহানগর হাকিম দেবদাস চন্দ্র অধিকারী আসামিদের ওই মামলায় গ্রেপ্তার দেখানোর আবেদন মঞ্জুর করেন।
টেন্ডারবাজি, চাঁদাবাজির সুনির্দিষ্ট অভিযোগে গত শুক্রবার (২০ সেপ্টেম্বর) যুবলীগ নেতা জি কে শামীম ও তার সাত দেহরক্ষীকে আটক করে র্যাব। পরদিন তাদের গুলশান থানায় হন্তান্তর করা হয়।
ওই অভিযানে এক কোটি ৮০ লাখ নগদ টাকা উদ্ধার করা হয়। এ ছাড়া ১৬৫ কোটি টাকার ওপর এফডিআর (স্থায়ী আমানত) পাওয়া যায়, যার মধ্যে তার মায়ের নামে ১৪০ কোটি ও ২৫ কোটি টাকা শামীমের নামে। একই সঙ্গে পাওয়া যায় মার্কিন ডলার, মাদক ও আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র।
